Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?
For many local service businesses the Google Business Profile brings most of the calls. So the question is fair: why pay for a website at all?
What the profile already does well
It shows you in Google Maps and in local search results, collects reviews, shows your hours and lets people call or ask for directions with one tap. If you don't have a profile yet, set that up before anything else.
What it can't do
It has little room for a full list of services and prices. Photos are mixed with photos customers upload. You can't add a proper quote form that asks the questions you need, like lot size or a photo of the job. You don't control the layout, and Google changes it often. You also can't use it for an email address on your own domain.
How the two work together
The profile has a field for your website, and many people tap it before they call, to check prices, photos and the area you cover. A site that loads fast on a phone and has the call button up front gets those people to call you rather than the next listing.
A simple test
If customers often call to ask "do you do this?" or "how much is that?", a website can answer before they call, and the calls you do get are closer to a booked job.
If you only have a profile today
You don't need a big site. One fast page with your services, area, reviews, photos and a quote form, linked from your profile, is enough to start.
